Shrimp in tomato sauce with pasta

Ingredients

  • white or cherry shrimp
  • pasta, about 300 g
  • sliced peeled tomatoes, one can
  • two cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • butter, 2 tablespoons
  • salt and pepper
  • paprika powder, sweet or hot as desired
  • two spring onions, finely chopped
  • basil or parsley leaves (for garnish)
  • cherry tomatoes (for garnish)

Preparation

  1. Thaw the shrimp, rinse and dry.
  2. Prepare the sauce: In a large skillet melt butter with garlic. Add some paprika powder and chopped onion. Fry until the onion is lightly browned. We add canned tomatoes and simmer everything on low heat for about 10 to 15 minutes. During this time we cook and drain the pasta.
  3. Add the shrimp: season the sauce with salt and pepper, then add the thawed and drained shrimp. Simmer the shrimp with the sauce for about 4-6 minutes. Pour the sauce with the shrimp over the pasta and garnish with basil (or parsley) leaves and cherry tomato quarters.
